Nick Barnett is currently a college student aspiring to become a front-end web developer after he graduates with his AIT from Metropolitan Community College in November of 2015. Nick has always strove to maintain a student’s mentality throughout his life, enjoying all opportunities to gain knowledge from his peers and mentors. Nick attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha and received a BA in English, developing his skills in analysis, critique, and communication. These invaluable skills have not only helped shape Nick’s skills in oral and written communication, but have provided him with an ability to critically examine varied forms of inquiry, presentation, and research.

These skills have also proven beneficial in Nick’s current career in administration, where he manages a small, locally owned tattoo shop and art studio. Over his ten year timespan with the company, his experiences and training have taught him a great deal. Learning procedural responsibilities, how to plan and implement resources to meet productivity goals, record keeping, file system management, communication facilitation, and inventory management and control are a few skills that have expanded his foundation as a skilled worker and motivated asset to the company. Working with creative minds for an extended time has influenced his resourcefulness and imagination, allowing him to develop ideas based on an original approach, while designing creative, user-friendly projects.

When Nick is not working or studying new technologies, he enjoys spending time at home with his girlfriend and two dogs. Nick also enjoys reading, working out, video games, and coffee. Please take a minute to look at his resume, here.
